PUBLIC NOTICE

The Town of Westerly Housing Authority will be opening its Housing Choice Voucher / Section 8 Waiting List for applicants who are income eligible for rental assistance. Placement on the Waiting List will be assigned by preference and lottery for 200 households. Eligibility is determined by household income based on household size.

Pre-applications will be available to print online, here on this page and available for pick-up at the following location and time:

Pre-applications will NOT be available at the management office and only one application per household will be handed out.

Low Income Limits by number of Household Members are as follows:
1 Person	$27,650	5 Persons	$42,650
2 Persons	$31,600	6 Persons	$45,800
3 Persons	$35,550	7 Persons	$48,950
4 Persons	$39,450	8 Persons	$52,100

Pre-applications must be completed and returned by mail or scanned email. Incomplete or faxed pre-applications will NOT be accepted. The Westerly Housing Authority will not be responsible for mail delays or lost mail and will not accept applications after the submission deadline at end of business, April 28, 2016. COPIES of document(s) supporting a preference are required to qualify for the preference. Copies will NOT be made at the management office.

Preference will be given to Westerly Residents, Working Family and/or Disabled Households.
